Wastewater Treatment & Biogas Plant Operators (x3)

My client, based in Worcester is seeking to immediately employ three plant operators to be based in or willing to relocate to Worcester.

The Role

• Basic process control on a SCADA system.
• Basic Lab tests to be done each day. Test results to be interpreted to make basic process control decisions.
• Basic fault finding/problem solving regarding equipment breakdowns.
• Basic maintenance on equipment. E.g. oil replacement on pumps, cleaning of filters/strainers etc.
• Data recording on Microsoft Excell. Good computer literacy required.
• Applicants need to live in Worcester or be willing to relocate to Worcester before the end of the probation period.
• Willingness to work overtime (weekends). Job entails shift work. Plant operates 24/7.

Job Requirements

• Good health (subject to annual medical exams). A large portion of the work is physical and requires candidates who are strong and healthy.
• Zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Applicants cannot be afraid of heights or confined spaces.
• Beneficial to have mechanical/electrical knowledge or qualifications. Therefore fitter/electrician/millwright apprentices will also be suitable for operator positions. (provided they are willing to work as operators.)
• Basic salary between R14000 and R17000 per month.
